Uber is using precisely the same model it used to take over the taxi transportation industry. Recruit independent contractors and labor with initial attractive wages and promises of freedom while avoiding the regulations that protect labor and public safety. Then, they cut those wages in an effort to undercut legitimate business and market pricing in an effort to take over control of a significant portion of the industry. They sell themselves to investors and the public as innovators and never actually make money while enhancing the value of their company through taking control of market share. They basically step on labor to increase their own value and profit.

There is nothing innovative about exploitation of labor. The rich get richer and the working woman and man drive on. I hope our nation wakes up soon and puts a stop to greed of these technology companies who operate and profit in the grey matter of technology and corporate deregulation…
