It is an excellent question and I appreciate you for looking at it as objectively as possible for a self-proclaimed tech enthusiast. I have opposed social media my entire life and noticed as an educator the profound impact it had on and the control it took over the lives and happiness of many of my students.

I have recently been doing some organizing for a cause I believe in and using social to fight for what I believe in and I have enjoyed the opportunity to have reach and to be expressive with my opinions. It has also kept us connected in these crazy times. However, in the end, I still fear that we have gotten so far ahead of ourselves as mankind with our computers that we have created a tool of massive destruction much like how we have in the long history of mankind and weapon development. Personally, I prefer my life without technology and social media...
